Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure

Yoya Fun is an independent travel publication.
Running a multilingual magazine requires resources: hosting, technology, research, production, photography and image licensing, editorial work, and the infrastructure needed to publish and maintain content across 17 language editions.
Yoya Fun may support that work through advertising, affiliate commissions, and, where clearly disclosed, other commercial relationships.
Those relationships do not buy editorial conclusions.
This page explains the distinction.
The basic rule
Money can support Yoya Fun. It does not decide what Yoya Fun says.
A commercial relationship does not automatically make a hotel better, a product more useful, a destination more interesting, or a recommendation more favorable.
Our editorial team is expected to apply the same research standards whether or not a commission, advertising relationship, complimentary service, media invitation, or other commercial connection exists.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links on Yoya Fun are affiliate links.
If you follow one and later make a qualifying booking or purchase, Yoya Fun may receive a commission from the merchant or affiliate network.
Yoya Fun does not add a separate affiliate fee to your transaction.
The final price, availability, cancellation terms, taxes, fees, and other transaction conditions are controlled by the merchant or booking service, not by Yoya Fun.
Affiliate relationships can change, and not every commercial link on the site necessarily participates in the same program.
Affiliate status does not determine recommendations
We do not choose a hotel, restaurant, destination, activity, service, or product simply because it offers a commission.
We do not promise:
- favorable reviews in exchange for commissions;
- higher rankings in exchange for affiliate participation;
- softer criticism because a link earns revenue;
- inclusion solely because a commercial program exists.
Where multiple options are relevant, editorial criteria should determine the comparison.
A provider without an affiliate program may still be the one we recommend.
How recommendations are made
Recommendations may be informed by different kinds of evidence depending on the story.
These may include:
- firsthand experience from human contributors;
- attributed experience from other travelers;
- official sources;
- current operator information;
- prices and policies;
- recurring patterns in traveler reviews;
- specialist, scholarly, or cultural sources where appropriate;
- comparative editorial analysis.

Commercial status is separate from that evidence.
Images, photography, and visual sourcing
Yoya Fun uses visual material from several legitimate sources.
Our published images may include:
- photographs taken by members of our own team during real travel and field experience;
- photographs supplied by partners, contributors, venues, tourism bodies, or other organizations where appropriate permission or usage rights exist;
- high-quality licensed photography obtained from professional stock, editorial, or image-licensing services;
- generated editorial illustrations where their use is appropriate and consistent with our sourcing and disclosure standards.
Using a partner-supplied or licensed image does not mean that Yoya Fun endorses the organization that supplied it.
Likewise, the presence of an image does not by itself prove that a Yoya Fun contributor personally visited the place shown.
Where a material commercial relationship is directly relevant to editorial coverage, we aim to disclose that relationship clearly.
Image access, image licensing, or permission to use visual material does not buy favorable editorial treatment.
Display advertising
Yoya Fun currently displays third-party advertising through Google AdSense.
The advertisements are delivered through Google’s advertising systems.
Their appearance on Yoya Fun does not mean that Yoya Fun:
- selected the advertiser;
- tested the advertised product;
- recommends the advertiser;
- agrees with every claim in the advertisement.
Advertising is separate from our editorial articles and recommendations.
Personalized and non-personalized advertising
Depending on your location and privacy choices, advertising technologies may process information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, or personalization.

Sponsored content and paid placements
If Yoya Fun publishes material that is paid for by a sponsor, that commercial relationship should be clearly identified to the reader.
Sponsored content should not be disguised as independent editorial coverage.
Payment for sponsorship does not entitle a sponsor to make unsupported factual claims or silently rewrite our independent editorial policies.
Where a sponsor has editorial control over a commercial message, that material should be distinguishable from independent Yoya Fun journalism.
Complimentary stays, meals, trips, products, or access
Travel journalism can involve invitations, media rates, complimentary access, hosted experiences, meals, stays, transport, or products provided for review.
If Yoya Fun accepts something of material value that is directly relevant to published editorial coverage, the relationship should be disclosed in or near the affected content where appropriate.
Receiving access does not guarantee:
- publication;
- positive coverage;
- a recommendation;
- a particular ranking;
- removal of legitimate criticism.
We reserve the right not to cover an experience even when access has been offered or provided.
Partners and supplied material
From time to time, Yoya Fun may work with tourism organizations, accommodation providers, cultural institutions, photographers, creators, venues, or other partners that provide information, imagery, access, or other material.
Receiving such material does not make that organization an editor of Yoya Fun and does not transfer editorial control.
Facts supplied by an interested party are treated as claims from that source and should be verified or contextualized where appropriate.
Our virtual editorial agents
Yoya Fun’s virtual editorial agents operate inside a human-governed editorial system.
They do not independently negotiate commercial relationships, accept trips, receive gifts, purchase licenses, or enter affiliate agreements.
Commercial arrangements and disclosure obligations remain the responsibility of the human editorial and business operation behind Yoya Fun.
A virtual agent’s recommendation must be supported by the same evidence and editorial process whether or not an affiliate relationship exists.
Prices and merchant information
Prices, availability, discounts, and booking conditions can change.
We may report a price observed during research, but the merchant controls the actual transaction.
Always check the final price, taxes, fees, cancellation conditions, and booking terms on the provider’s own website before completing a purchase.
External merchants
When you leave Yoya Fun through an affiliate or commercial link, the resulting transaction is between you and the external merchant.
Yoya Fun does not normally:
- process your payment;
- control the merchant’s refund policy;
- modify your booking;
- guarantee inventory;
- provide customer service for the merchant.
Questions about an order, reservation, refund, or transaction should normally be directed to the company with which you completed it.
Corrections and conflicts
If you believe a commercial relationship has not been disclosed clearly, or that an affiliate relationship appears to conflict with an editorial recommendation, we want to know.
Contact us with the relevant page or article URL and explain the concern.
We will review it under the same human editorial governance used for other corrections.
